Since our inception, we have been totally focused on building an accessible, timely and high quality compliance advisory practice.
Compliance issues arise in many different ways, each unique, like each physician practice. No two are the same. We approach each client's situation in the way that best suits their situation. We don't offer a generic out of the box compliance program that may not be suited to your practice. We don't prescribe a compliance solution before we assess and diagnose. We customize each solution to our clients' unique situation and don't add on or upsell unneccessary extras.
We have over 20 years experience working for and with small to medium-sized practices and our combination of experience knowledge and hard work will enable us to develop the compliance solution unique to your situation that won't break the bank.
Mike Runquist
Principal
Mike has nearly 20 years of experience in privacy and compliance in various roles. He has extensive experience in developing both compliance and privacy programs. In previous roles as CCO for large regional ophthalmology and dermatology practices and VP of Compliance for a large multi-state hospitalist physician group Mike created a compliance program based on the Federal Sentencing Guidelines 7 elements of an effective compliance program. Mike has also implemented a corporate integrity agreement (CIA) and maintained the compliance program for a managed Medicaid plan in Nevada for the final year of a CIA. He has drafted compliance and privacy policies, annual work plans, performed investigations, risk assessments, with reporting to Boards of Directors. He has created and presented coding and billing education to billing staff and coders, nurses, physical therapists, and physicians. Mike has also performed a number of chart audits and billing reviews. He has reviewed marketing material, contracts, communication as well as developed material for wide distribution.
Mike has made presentations to United States Federal agencies and officers during false claim and fraud investigations. He also assisted in negotiating a settlement agreements with the Department of Justice and the OIG and CIA implementation.
